The Iron Knight

The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4)
Julie Kagawa
4 Stars

Ash, former prince of the Winter Court, gave up everything. His title, his home, even his vow of loyalty. All for a girl… and all for nothing.
Unless he can earn a soul.
To cold, emotionless faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. His own love had died a horrible death, killing any gentler feelings the Winter prince might have had. Or so he thought. Then Meghan Chase—a half human, half fey slip of a girl— smashed through his barricades, binding him to her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. And when all of Faery nearly fell to the Iron fey, she severed their bond to save his life. Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or Summer fey can survive. With the (unwelcome) company of his arch rival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through to its end— a quest to find a way to honor his solemn vow to stand by Meghan’s side. To survive in the Iron realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn these things are impossible. At least, no one has ever passed to tell the tale. And then Ash learns something that changes everything. A truth that turns reality upside down, challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice.

I have been waiting for this book since April and perhaps I was expecting too much from the characters it was kinda a let down, but I am very glad that Julie gave us a book to end the series on a happy note. I did take my time reading this one (well longer then a couple of hours) I delayed reading this book because I was afraid of the way it might end I wanted Ash and Meghan to have their happy ending. The way the Iron Queen ended was devastating I was crying the whole time. So The Iron Knight gave us a sense of closure, it was weird to see everything from Ash's point of view knowing his fears and seeing him vulnerable. I have to say that seeing Puck from Ash's point of view was a bit weird but it gave so much more interesting twist on the emotions turning within himself and torment the promise to kill him caused him. It was a much different Winter prince then I was use to seeing, the back story and finally the explaining of so many finer details from the series was nice. I was mad at Ash for a period there his thoughts were driving me crazy and the trials he had to go through to get a soul were insane, but I was hoping that the winter prince wouldn't get mortality in its entirety. Age and death can no way affect my winter prince a world without Ash I shudder to think about it!! I am glad that he has enough magic to keep him young or slow the aging. But the ending was amazing and the surprises in the book were awesome. Thank you Julie for another amazing book and an awesome book to end the series with I am glad of the way this faery tale ended.

Silence

Becca Fitzpatrick
4 Stars
The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past...bridged two irreconcilable worlds...faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust...and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for—and their love—forever.

I just finished the third book in the Hush, Hush saga by Becca Fitzpatrick, it is an amazing series and I was so excited for the  book to finally come out because I just LOVE Patch and Nora. The last book left readers waiting to see what happen to our hot hero and struggling heroine. (Spoiler Alert) We began the book with Nora having no recollection of the past 5 months of her life, no Patch by her side and alone in a cemetery. She was kidnapped and her memory removed of everything from the past 5 months all this time I was yelling at Patch wondering where in the world he was and why he left his angel all alone. He then shows up (as smoking as ever) under a new name "Jev" and being a complete jerk to Nora who has no idea who he is. He tries to protect her and in the end he reveals all to her and their love over comes the obstacles which include the fact that she is now a nephlim, an enemy to magic dark fallen angel, but they prove that love conquers all and they end up together. I truly commend the author on coming up with an ending I totally did not see coming and making the heroine an amazing role model not making her weak, but so strong that she keeps fighting though she knows not what she fights for. Thank you Patch and Nora for sharing your love story  I can't wait for the last book to come out. I want to know how their story ends.

The Keeping

Ryne Taylor was a sexy bad-ass Alpha set on establishing a new pack. Melody Greene was a journalism student researching his work as a photographer or so she said. But could Mel really be trusted or had she stumbled upon his secret? And if she knew, could Ryne save himself and the pack he d left behind without enacting a deadly ancient law known as The Keeping? Sequel to The Mating.

I just finished reading the Keeping by Nicky Charles it was an amazing second book in the series. It was the about a reporter who goes to report on a nature photographer, while there are further circumstances that began in the mating this causes the werewolves to feel endangered and then they have to keep their life a secret they must not be found out by the humans. But of course fate has other ideas and when the reporter turns out to be a recessive werewolf and begins to transform problems arise and Ryne must chose between his mate and the life of his pack. Can the Alpha do this or will all be lost? Melody is able to transform and takes Ryne as her mate but the secret is out their and Aldrich the villain will stop at nothing to get his hands on a werewolf to cage and capture this species. To be continued in The finding when they must track down Cassie who saw the attack and is in fact a wolf herself.

The Mating

Nicky Charles
3 stars
Elise had no idea when she came home that day that she'd end up mated to a complete stranger. A new Alpha and the need for an alliance between packs have made her a pawn.

I just finished reading The Mating by Nicky Charles. It was an amazing story of paranormal romance between werewolves, an arranged mating with an alpha from another pack leaves Elise wishing for her home and her close childhood friend. In a single night her world is shifted to the Alpha, Kane who is now her life, but is more to this wolf  then meets the eye, he is a caring and loving mate who puts the needs of his pack before his own. Their relationship grows from a simply physical to a enduring love story, though they go through some rough patches on their road to happiness eventually they are able to accept themselves and each other. In the end they save the pack and their territory from a conniving, money hungry, she-wolf. I'd have to say this reads like twilight with a female character with more back bone and a male protagonist that knows that he has light and dark within him. I recommend this to anyone wanting a great book that won't be able to be put down until you reach the last page. I'm off to read another of Nicky Charles's wonderful books the Finding. Til then keep reading!

Everlasting

 Alyson Noel
4 Stars
Everlasting is the sixth and final installment of the epic love story that has enchanted readers across the world. Ever and Damen have spent centuries facing down bitter rivals, jealous friends and their own worst fears-all in the hope of being together forever. Now in Everlasting, their destiny is finally within reach. Will they be united-or torn apart forever? Readers will finally discover the truth in this anxiously awaited conclusion!

I finished reading Everlasting the last in the Immortal series by Alyson Noel. It was so worth the wait, the book took some unexpected turns but it was a wonderful way to end the series. (*Spoilers alert*) It gave so much more backbone to Ever allowing her to think that if need be she could go without Damen, but in the end love won once again overcoming all obstacles and allowing them a wonderful life as mortals. They fought, they separated, they nearly lost each other, but in the end they reconciled and will have there happily ever after. I am so glad for them and I praise Alyson Noel for writing such a wonderful novel to end a nail-bitting series. Now on to more books and more reviews stay tuned!
